Casa Solcor’s Interior Designer

Fernanda Loayza

The Casa Solcor project—architecture, interior design, and landscaping—was created with a rustic-contemporary aesthetic as its foundation. From the very beginning, the concept was deeply connected to the surrounding environment: the landscape, its colors, textures, stones, clay, wood, and natural fibers. The interior walls are painted white to highlight locally inspired elements such as traditional textiles, handcrafted ceramics, natural fibers, and especially wooden features, which take center stage throughout both the interior and exterior spaces—in lamps, dry wood installations, lounge chairs, terraces, and more. The exterior color palette evokes the desert, allowing the vibrant green of the native vegetation to stand out. Landscaping was designed to reflect the region’s identity, with large potted San Pedro cacti arranged throughout the hotel. All furnishings follow the same vision: crafted from reclaimed oak, leather, and linen, enhancing the natural light in each space. The goal was to create relaxed, fresh, and inviting environments—natural and peaceful spaces that allow guests to feel at ease and fully connected to the essence of the desert.
