Main Attractions

GEYSERS DEL TATIO
Located in the Andean plains of northern Chile, in the Antofagasta Region at around 4,200 meters above sea level, this is the largest geyser field in the Southern Hemisphere and the third largest in the world.

MOON VALLEY (VALLE DE LA LUNA)
A designated Nature Sanctuary and a geological wonder filled with striking color contrasts. Sculpted by wind erosion, it features sharp ridges, deep hollows, and dramatic formations. Moon Valley is a place for contemplation—a silent, otherworldly landscape with no vegetation, animals, or moisture.

CARACOLES STREET
The vibrant heart of San Pedro de Atacama beats along this cobbled street—a gathering place for travelers, culture, and tradition. Surrounded by adobe buildings, Caracoles is the town’s main hub, lined with craft shops, tour agencies, and restaurants serving highland flavors.

RED ROCKS (PIEDRAS ROJAS)
A scenic viewpoint where you can admire copper-colored rock formations overlooking the beautiful Tuyajto Lagoon.

SALT FLATS ROUTE
Located in the Andean highlands within the Los Flamencos National Reserve, this route is home to flamingos, Andean gulls, culpeo foxes, and camelids like vicuñas. Highlights include the Monjes de la Pacana rock formations, Tara Salt Flat, and many more stunning landscapes.

CHAXA LAGOON
A stunning sight featuring salt formations across its surface. It is a prime spot for observing Andean flamingos and other native species. The area is protected by Chile’s National Forestry Corporation (CONAF).

ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS
Located over 4,000 meters above sea level, the Miñiques and Miscanti lagoons offer blue waters in a striking setting. Miñiques is home to the Coirón plant, used in local crafts and roofing, while Miscanti serves as a nesting area for the Tagua, a small dark-feathered bird. Both lagoons are fed by meltwater from nearby volcanoes.

BATIANACHE LAGOONS
Float effortlessly in this exotic group of seven small salt lagoons. Located over 4,000 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Salt Range and framed by the Domeyko Mountains, only the first and seventh lagoons are open for swimming due to conservation efforts—please inform yourself before visiting.

PURITAMA HOT SPRINGS
Surrounded by volcanic mountains, these springs emerge from the heart of the Earth with high mineral concentrations that offer a range of benefits for mind, body, and relaxation. With a pleasant temperature, Puritama—named by pre-Incan cultures—offers a natural sanctuary along with amenities such as restaurants, changing rooms, and walking paths to explore this unique place.
